Quiet day in Seattle

Monday, April 28 -- This was a quiet day in Seattle. Paula was not planning to work and we had no plans to do any traveling. When I came upstairs about 8:30am Jack told me Paula had a call at 6:30am and was at Swedish Hospital(where he works) helping a woman have a baby. It was a girl - three weeks early -- a C Section. Everyone doing fine. Paula is the translator for the patient-doctor-nurses. At least that is the way I understand it. It was foggy and rainy this morning and then before noon the sun came out. Jack, Lorin and I made a trip to the library near here and then decided to go to Edmonds and eat fish on the waterfront. A nice restaurant where we had eaten one other time when we were here. We walked along the water and looked at the boats, flowers, etc. Turned out to be a nice sunny day -- but a jacket felt good. I don't know what we will do to celebrate Matt's birthday tomorrow. But we do hope you have a happy one, Matt!! Bye for now, arlenerose
